Explore the Iron Age with Yr 3

Year 3 had an amazing trip to the Earth Trust yesterday, showing great resilience despite the ever-changing weather throughout the day! They explored Iron Age artefacts, including pottery and metal tools, learning how these were used in everyday life. The children had a go at grinding wheat to make their own bread, experiencing a hands-on connection to history. The highlight was making fire using flint and steel, which everyone found very exciting! Throughout the day, the children showed respect to all the adults and worked brilliantly as a team. Well done, Year 3, you were all true superstars!
