Festive Fun

We’ve had a festive fun packed few weeks!  Our EYFS and KS1 children presented two wonderful Christmas Shows, while at the other end of the school our Year 6 children put on their fabulous French Nativity.  All children performed brilliantly and we are extremely proud of them.

Our Choir Club not only entertained guests at our Jingle & Mingle coffee morning this year, but have also visited the Brill Lunch Club and Memory Lane Café groups to sing to the members, encouraging them to join in and sing along with popular carols.

Both children and staff supported Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day with choices ranging from traditional to retro, with a few wild and wacky in between, and we made party hats to wear while eating our Christmas lunch. We raised over £145 for the charity.

We were all very surprised to have a flying visit from ‘The Man in Red’ himself, who made time in his busy schedule to stop by, leaving sacks of gifts for EYFS and KS1 children.

We’re delighted that so many of you were able to use the free tickets to visit the Christmas display at Waddesdon Manor this year, after the children took part in the collaborative art event earlier in the year.  Please see the link below with photos of all aspects of the display.

Once Upon a Christmastime – 2024

A big thank you to our PTA for serving refreshments at our festive events, and for all their hard work putting together the Christmas Hampers.

We’re rounding off the year with a whole school panto this week, and two carol services in the church, and are then looking forward to a well-earned break for pupils, parents and staff alike!

Listen to sound bites below of songs from these various events:

Year 6 sing ‘Joyeux Noel’ at The Carol Concert.
The whole school sing ‘Once In Royal David’s City’ at the Carol Concert.
The Choir sing ‘ Somewhere Only We Know’ at Memory Lane Café for members of the community.
The whole school sing ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ at the Carol Concert.
The Choir sing ‘ Jingle Bell Rock’ at the Christmas Community Lunch Club.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
