Yr 5&6 had a PE lesson with a difference this week, when they took part in a Fun Mud Run. The children showed great resilience, tackling the obstacles and digging deep to finish the course with a smile. Elizabeth and Barnaby explain the event in their report below:
On Tuesday 12th Nov Years 5&6 participated in a Fun Run which was approximately 2km long. It was very muddy which is why they wore home clothes. It was very fun for all the children who took part and even the adults enjoyed it. Once they arrived, all the children were intensely listening to the adults who were telling them what to do. The Yr 5s started 3 minutes before Yr 6s. The track was very muddy and the Yr 5 and 6 children had to leap over lots of obstacles such as hay bales, tree branches and streams. The children were guided by red arrows pointing the way. At the end (whilst everyone was enjoying their hot dogs) everyone was awarded a medal for resilience and winning their own race.
