Year 3 Science – Tuesday 16th January 2024

This week year 3 have been exploring light and dark in our science lessons. We used ‘reflector detectors’ to explore how well light is able to reflect off different surfaces. We carried out our own investigation in a very dark classroom and made some interesting discoveries. We learnt that smooth, shiny and bright surfaces are much better at reflecting light compared to rough and dark surfaces. Did you know, that the moon is not a light source? It is in fact a reflection of the sun!
